Energy is the golden thread that connects economic growth, increased social equity, and an environment that allows the world to thrive.

Welcome to Future Resources Africa

Authorized Distributor for Omstar Environmental Products in Africa

OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE CLEAN AND COMPETITIVE ENERGY TO AFRICA’S INDUSTRIES AND TO SUPPORT SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ON THE CONTINENT. SES INVESTS IN A SUSTAINABLE AFRICA.

team-omstar-sesOmstar Environmental Products develops and manufactures performance-enhancing additives for all combustion fuels. The company started business in 1986 helping public transportation companies to reduce harmful emissions and improve fuel economy. Omstar’s loyal customers have proven since more than 30 years that caring for our environment does not always cost more money, through improved fuel economy our customers reduced their fuel consumption average by 10% and saved at least twice the amount in fuel cost what they paid for our additive.

OUR VISION is to assist Africa and the world by reducing harmful emissions resulting from transportation, gas power generation and boiler emissions (NOx, SO2, CO, HC and particulates) immediately by up to 70%, while improving the performance, reducing fuel cost, reducing maintenance cost and improving engine life. This is a good start into a Zero Carbon Emission Future.

Quote: Environmental Resource Management, Anaheim, CA, United States

…..During the past fifteen years ERM has had the pleasure of working with the California Air Resources Board (CARB), Air Quality Management District (AQMD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Over that period, we have directed most of our efforts to mobile emission research and control ….The documented data base and results obtained by the CARB through the use of Omstar Dx1  are impressive and potentially meaningful to lowering the overall mobile emission levels…the mandated use of Omstar Dx1 fuel additive could make a major contribution in meeting our ambient air quality standards.

-Joseph R. Jones, President

SESR-OmstarEnergy production and use are by far the largest man-made sources of air pollution, which resulting in 6.5 million premature deaths each year.

Clean air is vital for good health. Yet despite growing recognition of this imperative, the problem of air pollution is far from solved in many countries, and the global health impacts risk intensifying in the decades to come. The scale of the public health crisis caused by air pollution and the importance of the energy sector to its resolution are the reasons why the world leaders are focusing on this critical topic for the first time.

omstar-certificateAfrica faces multiple developmental and environmental challenges, which are rooted in poverty and the source of a grave health burden on the population. Air pollution from the energy sector is increasingly a leading risk factor. Household air pollution, closely linked to a lack of access to modern energy services, causes around half a million premature deaths annually in sub-Saharan Africa, where four-fifths of the population rely on the traditional use of solid biomass for cooking, and candles and kerosene lamps are extensively used for indoor lighting. Cities are becoming increasingly choked with vehicles which are unregulated by emission standards, by the use of back-up generators to mitigate the often absent or unreliable electricity supply, and the widespread burning of waste.

energy-reportThe outlook to 2040 for Africa in the New Policies Scenario is mixed. Even though there is a general absence of current policy measures to mitigate the adverse effects of air quality associated with the projected 75% rise in energy demand, which means that PM2.5 emissions in Africa grow by almost a fifth by 2040.

Alongside the multiple benefits to human health, a strategy to solve Africa’s and the world’s air pollution problem can go hand-in-hand with progress towards other environmental and economical development goals.
